Prof. Dr. Gwendolyn Sasse ist seit Oktober 2016 die Wissenschaftliche Direktorin des Zentrums für Osteuropa- und internationale Studien (ZOiS). Seit April 2021 ist Einstein-Professorin für Vergleichende Demokratie- und Autoritarismusforschung am Institut für Sozialwissenschaften der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Davor war sie Professorin für Vergleichende Politikwissenschaft am Department of Politics and International Relations und an der School for Global and Area Studies der University of Oxford.

Prof. Dr. Gwendolyn Sasse has been the Scientific Director of the Center for East European and International Studies since 2016. Since April 2021, she holds the position of Einstein Professor of Comparative Democracy and Authoritarianism at the Institute of Social Sciences at Humboldt-Universität in Berlin. Previously, she was Professor of Comparative Politics at the Department of Politics and International Relations and the School for Global and Area Studies at the University of Oxford.
