Mini Model NATO Germany

We are looking for members of YATA Germany who would like to participate as diplomats for one day at Mini Model NATO Germany this December in Berlin

12.12.2025 (Full Day): Simulation at Freie UniversitÀt Berlin

On 12 December, Mini Model NATO Germany will carry out a one-day simulation of NATO’s diplomatic decision-making processes. During the simulation, participants will represent a NATO member state in the North Atlantic Council (NAC). In total, 32 participants will take part in this crisis simulation. Additionally, there will be a Fireside Chat on the evening of 11 December 2025.

In their roles, participants will be tasked with responding to and resolving a simulated crisis as well as engaging in structured debates and negotiations. All you need to bring is a laptop and the commitment to thoroughly prepare for your assigned country. As part of the preparation, participants are required to write a Country Report. Further details will be provided upon successful registration.

We encourage students and young professionals to join us in Berlin for this time. A day before the simulation, we are planning a fire chat for you with Lieutenant General (ret.) Heinrich Brauß, Former Deputy Secretary General for Defence Policy and Force Planning at NATO (2013–2018).

Participation is free of charge for members of YATA Germany.
