Alexandra Marksteiner

Alexandra Marksteiner is a Research Assistant with the Military Expenditure and Arms Production Programme at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). Among her areas of focus are developments in the arms industry and the transatlantic burden-sharing debate. Before joining SIPRI, she worked for the Brookings Institution, UN Department of Peace Operations and German Federal Foreign Office. She holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC.
