Claudia Major ist Expertin für internationale Sicherheitspolitik. Sie studierte Politikwissenschaft, Geschichte und Soziologie und promovierte in Politikwissenschaft. Nach Stationen bei der Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik, als Fellow im European Foreign and Security Policy Studies Program sowie als Dozentin an der Sciences Po Paris und am European Union Institute for Security Studies arbeitete sie viele Jahre bei der Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik, zuletzt als Leiterin der Abteilung Internationale Sicherheit. Seit 2025 ist sie Senior Vice President für Transatlantische Sicherheit beim GMF.

Claudia Major is an expert in international security policy. She studied political science, history, and sociology, and earned her doctorate in political science. Following positions at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik, as a Fellow in the European Foreign and Security Policy Studies Program, and as a lecturer at Sciences Po and the European Union Institute for Security Studies, she worked for many years at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik, most recently as Head of the International Security Division. Since 2025, she has been Senior Vice President for Transatlantic Security at the German Marshall Fund.
